As the founder of Veteran Drones, Daniel brings his expertise and passion to the skies of Portland and the greater Pacific Northwest. With over eight years of military experience ranging from surveillance to tactical recon drones, Daniel’s journey from combat-tested leader to visionary entrepreneur embodies a relentless pursuit of excellence and innovation, laying the foundation for Veteran Drones.
Maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety instilled in Daniel’s military service, Veteran Drones offers a wide range of drone services tailored to meet the needs of various and diverse industries. Veteran Drones not only excels in drone operations but is also a beacon for soldiers transitioning from military to civilian life by offering a comprehensive drone training program for veterans.
Outside of work, Daniel’s life is full of adventure, from DIY drone projects to exploring the great outdoors with his family. His support of his wife’s professional endeavors and his role as a devoted father reflect the depth of his character and commitment to those he loves.

Sean Dillard
As a multifaceted entrepreneur, Sean brings a unique perspective to Veteran Drones. With a background as a professional snowboarder, clothing company owner and manufacturer, sushi chef, and restaurant manager, along with experience in video production and residential construction, he’s cultivated a diverse skill set and an eye for detail that translates seamlessly into capturing moments through the lens.
Sean’s journey through various industries has honed his ability to focus on important details and to understand people, environments, and aesthetics. His passion for design– from drone action shots on the slopes to precise and detailed orthomosaic mapping of building projects– reflects his dedication to artistic creation and strive for excellence.
In his spare time, Sean enjoys golf, fishing, boating, snowboarding, and hanging out with his rescue dogs, Toody Moon and Punky. Sean is an FAA-certified drone pilot with experience in all areas of UAV photography and videography.
